You deserve someone who understands you and what you go through daily. Here at Vital Experiences, we specialize in two areas. Working with mental health professionals, military veterans, and their families.

Understanding what it is like to be a mental health therapist is necessary to understand you as a professional therapist. Helping you be the best therapist you can be while maintaining a positive personal life is the goal. Many therapists carry the excess weight of their client’s trauma and anxieties into their day-to-day life. Our aim is to allow you the opportunity to live your life free of the baggage brought to you by your clients. As a psychologist who specializes in working with other therapist Dr. Kat can guide you through the trauma you carry from your clients and your past. Dr. Kat’s purpose is to support and promote a healthy balance in your life for you and your loved ones, while being there for your clients.

Getting out of the military and moving into the civilian sector causes apprehension and tension for most veterans and their families. Getting out of the military can cause you to question your self-worth once you separate and begin a new life as a civilian. Finding a job and navigating society is stressful and anxiety provoking. Sgt. Bo has been in this situation before and has extensive knowledge on how to guide you through the maze that is the civilian world. Issues are different outside of the military bubble and civilians look at you differently. My goal is to help you and your family navigate the minefield in the civilian community and help you embrace the positives of your military service that carries over into civilian society.

We believe that you cannot help anyone past what you know yourself. We have the education, therapeutic skills, and lived experience to help you find your happiness. When you work with us you will be deeply understood, accepted, and valued.

Being Married to PTSD is difficult. Married to PTSD Pro was established to help those who live with someone who has PTSD. Often, PTSD is associated with veterans but we decided to work with the families of PTSD sufferers because we see how invisible spouses feel. No one thanks you for your service, even though you continue to serve long after your spouse has been discharged. There is a lot of information on what to do…but little on how to do it. Often research can be hard to understand, that’s where we have the advantage. As Mental Health Professionals & Veterans and spouse, we are committed to you and your spouses recovery. We sort through everything out there and translate the research into practical advice and tools.

After Duty Vets was established to help veterans re-integrate back into society and a place to build community. It is irrelevant how long you have been out of the Military; you can still struggle with the way civilians act. I have worked with multiple veterans from the Vietnam era to present who struggle. You are never too old to struggle with re-integrating. After Duty Vets is a place to go and discuss your experiences with like minded veterans. You will also find tips on how to look at the civilian community and videos to help you understand why you are feeling the way you do.
